Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

We celebrated Kyra's 1st Christmas with her crawling...yes she's mobile so life is about to get even crazier - I don't know how but we will manage. Emmie has no idea that Christmas and Birthdays are not a week of her getting gifts and parties for her. Even on Christmas she asked if the party was for her. Our house looks like Toys R Us emptied a big truck in it. So all in all I'd say the we all enjoyed ourselves.

Birthday Week

On Wednesday Emmie will turn 3 ~ I can't believe she's growing up so fast. We had her birthday party this weekend (I will post pictures later) and as always she bounced her little heart out. On Sunday Lala and Ellan took her and a few other kidos to go see the Christmas show at Second Baptist and today she got her first car. I wish I was three!!! Considering how spoiled she is she's actually a pretty sweet little girl. Little miss Kyra is doing good too, she wanted to ride with her big sis this morning. We are very blessed and lucky to have them both!

Just for Fun

It's been a while since we posted pictures so here are a few we took today to catch up. Kyra is already 6 months and Emmie turns 3 in a couple of months. Kyra can alomost sit up on her own and is starting to figure out how to go backward in her walker. Emmie loves going to preschool and is learning a lot.

UT Football Season

The UT Football season has officially arrived and Emmie was ready to go at her very first UT game. As UT was playing at Reliant we decided this was the game to take her to this year. We got very lucky as some generous stranger handed Chris free tickets at the game (will have to pay it forward someday). She did great and she loved it (the cotton candy before the game probably helped out too). She was working on her "Hook'em" (still needs a little work) and kept yelling "Fight" (we were on the Fight side of the statium). She cheered and clapped like crazy.


Kyra had a nice quite day staying home with Granny and Grandad watching the game on TV.

Kyra at 4 Months

Kyra went for her 4 month check up last week and she's 14 lbs. She's a whole pound heavier than Emmie was, 1/4 inch shorter and has a bigger head. She's already wearing all the clothes Emmie wore at 6 months. Here are a few shots of her getting ready to go swimming.

Fun with G-Daddy and Granny

My parents came to visit and ended up taking both girls back to Austin. They are having a great time visiting both sets of grandparents. Here's some pictures from the last couple of weeks. I can't believe that Krya will be 4 months next week and Emmie's growing up so fast, it's like she turned into a little girl overnight!

Today when Emmie was picking out what to wear she told me she wanted to wear a princess dress like the princess on her toy box - so thanks to Auntie Shirley - that's what she wore. Luckily we weren't going any place.

Emmie Swimming

We don't know what happened but Emmie pretty much decided overnight that she was ready to swim. I guess it's like everything else with her, once she wants to do it she does it. She swims about half the length of our pool which isn't all that long but for her it's a long way. We are still working on the ability to turn over and float. She is going back to swim classes next week so hopefully she'll work on those skills with them. Here's some video of her swimming today.

1st Beach Trip

Our friends Gordon & Aurora invited us to join them at Surfside in Freeport for a day trip to the beach. I was pleasantly surprise that the water and beach were clean and tar and seaweed free. The Greenley's where there too. Emmie could not stay stop playing with the sand she thought it was great fun to have so much sand at her disposal (I don't allow sand at our house). Kyra hung out in her bouncy and enjoyed the change in scenery. She did get to go swimming when we got back home - she loves swimming!
